Ninantic has announced the Pokemon Go Sinnoh Celebration event to spotlight the region and its Pokemon.

The event will begin at 10AM local time on 12 January and will go on until 8PM local time on 17 January.

Niantic said that the event will add lots of Gen 4 Pokemon to catch, along with challenges to complete.

The following Pokemon will appear more during the event:

• Turtwig
• Chimchar
• Piplup
• Bidoof
• Cranidos
• Buizel
• Drifloon
• Glameow
• Purugly
• Hippopotas
• Skorupi
• Snover

The legendary Pokemon Heatran will be appearing in five-star raids. Additionally, Mega Charizard Y, Mega Blastoise, and Mega Abomasnow will appear in Mega Raids.

Niantic is currently celebrating different Pokemon regions to promote the upcoming Kanto Tour event. The next region that will be showcased is Hoenn. The scheduled date is 19 January, but that’s about all we know for now.
