The Co-Founder of CD Projekt Red Marcin Iwiński has apologized for the poor performance of Cyberpunk 2077 at launch on last-gen consoles.
He made his apology in video form through a tweet shared by the official Cyberpunk 2077 Twitter acount. He also shared a roadmap for the updates planned for the game in the future.
According to Iwiński, the complex nature of the game was proving difficult to work on last-gen hardware which led the development team to constantly make changes to the game.
He also claimed that the restrictions faced by the development team due to the COVID-19 led to further complications.

Iwiński added that free DLCs planned for later in the year and that next gen updates for PS5 and Xbox Series X would also be coming.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released at the tail-end of 2020 to widespread criticism and disillusionment, making it one of the most disastrous AAA game releases in recent memory.
