Famous actor and comedian Kevin Hart has signed on to play Roland in the upcoming Borderlands movie. The agreement was reached after months of negotiations between the parties.

Eli Roth (The Green Inferno, Knock Knock) is set to be director of the movie along with Cate Blanchett (Carol, The Lord of The Rings) who is set to star as the legendary thief, Lilith.

The creator of Chernobyl, Craig Mazin is reportedly penning the script for the movie.

Kevin Hart, who was previously known for his comedic roles in movies like Jumanji, and Ride Along, will be portraying a more serious role. Eli Roth stated that they are thrilled to present the audience with a side of Kevin Hart they have not seen before.

So far, the casting for the Bordlands movie looks very interesting to say the least. With casting choices like Kevin Hart and Cate Blanchett, we are very curious to see how this movie will turn out.
