In a blog post published last Monday by Phil Harrison, Vice President and GM of Google Stadia has announced that Stadia will be shutting down their internal game development studio SG&E (Stadia Games & Entertainment).
With the closedown of SG&E the staff are being assigned to new roles in the company. However Jade Raymond, the co-developer of Assassin’s Creed, who joined the company in 2019 to lead the development studio has left the company.
The Stadia platform will continue to function with it’s subscription service for video games, but will be shifting their focus to third party games.
