A Live-Action adaptation Twisted Metal is in the works by Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions.

This TV show is being created by the writers of ‘Deadpool’ and ‘Zombieland’.

’Twisted Metal’ is one of the most beloved franchises from PlayStation,” said Asad Qizilbash, head of PlayStation Productions. “We are thrilled to have such a great team working on bringing this iconic game to life for the fans.”

This action comedy follows an outsider who is tasked with the delivery of a package with the help of a car thief in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. The deranged clown “Sweet Tooth” is also set to appear in this series.

The executive producers of this show also include Michael Jonathan Smith (Cobra Kai) in addition to Reese and Wernick. It is speculated that Will Arnett will voice Sweet Tooth, but this is yet to be confirmed.

In addition to the Twisted Metal TV show Sony Pictures Television and PlayStation Productions are currently involved with The Last of Us movie starring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.
