The Pokémon Company and Game Freak have announced that not one, but three Pokémon games are in production!
The announcements were made during the special Pokémon presentation broadcasted on February 26th, where it was also revealed that all these games will be set in the Sinnoh region.
This is a big announcement from Nintendo considering the fact that fans were keeping their expectations low after the previous Nintendo Direct and Sony’s State of Play broadcast.
The first big announcement in this 20 minute event was the announcement of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl.
These two games are HD remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl which came out to the 3DS console in 2006.
Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl is set to launch for Nintendo Switch console later this year and will feature enhanced graphical improvements and character models.
The next big announcement was the reveal of an open world Pokemon game titled Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
This game will take players into the Sinnoh region of the old where you are tasked with completing the Pokedex and catch Pokémon roaming in the wild areas using Pokeballs.
Pokemon Legends: Arceus is set to launch for Nintendo Switch early next year.
It looks like Game Freak has finally heard the players who have been wanting for a Pokémon Sinnoh region remake.
With three new Pokémon games making their way to Nintendo Switch it looks like this is going to be a good year for Pokémon fans.
