Recently launched Viking survival game Valheim has sold over 5 million copies on Steam.

This game is only playable in Early Access, but this has not stopped players from joining the world of Valheim. Currently, Valheim has over 220,000 concurrent players and is at fourth place on Steam just behind PLAYER UNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS.

Here is what the developers had to say in their latest Steam update:

You’ve done it again! As you are reading this, the Valkyries have ferried more than FIVE MILLION souls to Valheim to uncover ancient treasures, sail savage seas and secure the tenth norse world.

• Pushed us to number 39 in the best user reviewed games on Steam of all time

Valheim is set in a huge procedurally generated world with different types of landscapes and mystical creatures and up to ten players can co-op and play the game together.

What’s even more impressive is that this game was built by a team consisting of just five people.
