Modern Warzone reports that the upcoming Call of Duty game will take place in a World War 2 setting, and that the working title is Call of Duty: Vanguard.
The game is currently in development at Sledgehammer Games and is due to come out later this year.
According to reports Call of Duty: Vanguard will be set in 1950s in an alternate timeline where the Second World War did not end in 1945. However, the details may change as it is not officially confirmed by Activision.
VGC Magazine reports that the COD: Vanguard will be powered by Modern Warfare 2019’s ‘IW8’ game engine instead of the upgraded version that is being utilized by Black Ops: Cold War.
