Sony Pictures and PlayStation Productions are developing a new movie based on Sucker Punch Productions’ hit new game, Ghost of Tsushima.

The movie is to be directed by Chad Stahelski, known for his work on John Wick.

Ghost of Tsushima was developed by Sucker Punch and features a character called Jin Sakai, who must let go of the traditions of his clan in order to defeat an invading army.

The game sold faster than any PlayStation first party exclusive to date, which is even more impressive when you consider that the game is a totally new IP.

It was also nominated for several awards at the Game Awards in 2020.

Ghost of Tsushima recently reached a sales milestone of 6.5 million copies since its launch in July 2020.
