Capcom has unveiled a lot of new information about the upcoming Resident Evil Village and other entries under the franchises’ (no pun intended) umbrella at the 25th anniversary celebration showcase for Resident Evil this April 15th.
Resident Evil Village
- Gameplay Demo and Early Access
A playable demo for the upcoming Resident Evil Village is coming to ALL the platforms this time. This gameplay demo will be available for an 8 hour window and can be played for one hour. Players can explore both the castle and the village areas in the game for a total of one hour, the Resident Evil team has very aptly titled this demo “8 Hours in Village”.
PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 owners are able to get early access to the village section of this demo followed by the castle section and can pre-download the demo now.
Don’t forget to try out Resident Evil Village during the 8 hour time period. The good news is you will be able to stream your full playthrough of this demo as well, now that is exciting!

- New Story Trailer for Resident Evil Village
The Resident Evil team has also blessed us with a new story trailer for the Resident Evil Village where we see a sneak peek of what’s in store for our protagonist Ethan Winters, and a very ominous looking Chris. Just what is he up to in this game and can he trusted?
- Mercenary Mode
Like many of the previous Resident Evil games, Village is also getting it’s very own Mercenary Mode where players can compete for high scores facing off against different types of enemies in various locations in the game. Mercenary Mode will be included in the game and no extra purchase is required to unlock this game mode.

Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness
The animated CG adaptation of Resident Evil series is coming to Netflix on July. The story revolves around Leon and Claire who are faced with a zombie outbreak inside the White House. Infinite Darkness is a direct sequel to Resident Evil 4 and takes place in 2006, two years after the events of the game.
Resident Evil 4 VR
Capcom is collaborating with Oculus Studios and Armature Studios to bring the full Resident Evil 4 experience to Oculus Quest 2. More details of this VR version of Resident Evil 4 will be announced during the Oculus Games Showcase on April 21.
Resident Evil coming to Dead by Daylight
The team behind the popular horror survival game Dead by Daylight has announced that they are working with the Resident Evil team to bring a collaboration chapter of the game to Dead by Daylight this June. More details are to be revealed on May 25.
