A Plague Tale: Requiem unveiled at E3 showcase

During last night’s Xbox and Bethesda E3 showcase, many games were announced and among them was A Plague Tale: Requiem. The game is a direct sequel to 2019’s A Plague Tale: Innocence. Innocence received generally positive reviews and it sold over 1 million copies till last year.

Innocence follows two children, Amicia and Hugo two siblings who had to survive the rat infested France during the 1300s. That was around the time the 2nd pandemic of the Bubonic Plague ravaged Europe. They had to fight against Catholic Priest who tries to force his ideals into the country by taking advantage of the situation by using supernatural powers and alchemy.

Let’s have a look at what we see from the teaser trailer for Plague: Requiem.

The trailer shows a swarm of rats headed towards Amicia, in a similar way how a tsunami had ravaged a city in one of Hugo’s visions. Hugo is seen at the edge of the beautiful cliff surrounded by clear blue sky which happens to be a rare scene in Innocence. The trailer also shows some unfamiliar faces along with Beatrice, their mother and some signs of a battle and Amicia now uses crossbow rather than her signature slingshot which she uses in Innocence.

The game is currently listed for release on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC (currently, the game is not listed for release on PlayStation). The game is also available on Game Pass at launch in 2022. The game is developed by Asobo Studio, the developers of The Crew 2 and the beautiful Microsoft Flight Simulator.
