Hello and welcome to part 6 of our coverage of the Electronic Entertainment Expo or E3 as it is more commonly known.
Organized by the Entertainment Software Association (ESA), the event has had a long run up to this point.
Today we are going to cover the Square Enix showcase. SE have unveiled some new interesting titles, and one of them that is very…weird. Let’s get started.
(Let us know if we miss anything and we’ll be sure to include it next time!)
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy
Eidos Montreal in collaboration with Square Enix and Marvel have unveiled Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. An action adventure RPG where you are in control of Peter Quill and lead your band of misfits through different adventures. From the trailer you could really feel that the game embodies the same energy as the movie version of Guardians of the Galaxy.
The gameplay elements seem to be similar to Mass Effect where you control other members of the party through Star-Lord. During the presentation the developers highlighted that this single player story driven game will have moments in the story that the decisions made by Peter will impact the how the story progresses in the later part of the game.
The game is set for release on PS5, PS4. Xbox X|S, PC and cloud version for Nintendo Switch on 26th October this year. Pre-order links are below.
Mobile Games
Square has also announced that there are several mobile games that they are working on for iOS and Android. Let’s have a look at them below.
- Hitman Sniper: The Shadows: This game seems to focus on a new story and new agents. Agent 47 seems to have disappeared and you and your team are tasked with taking out enemies using a sniper rifle.
