
Square Enix has announced the release date for some or all of the games in the recently-announced Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series.
The publisher made this announcement through a video presentation, which has now been made private. According to the video, the release date for the games is some time in July 2021.
Twitter user Wario64 managed to capture screenshots from the presentation as well as learn the release date.
The presentation was a 30-minute discussion featuring Final Fantasy creator, Hironobu Sakaguchi, legendary composer Nobuo Uematsu, and legendary director Yoshinori Kitase. They spoke about these games that will be coming to PC and mobile devices.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series was announced at E3 2021 during Square Enix’s presentation. The series reportedly will feature various upgrades such as FF5 and 6 being playable in widescreen for the first time ever.
In related news, Square Enix has pulled the PC ports of Final Fantasy 5 and 6 from Steam. This is likely to prepare for the rollout of the FF Pixel Remaster series.
