
The developer of the Mortal Kombat series, NetherRealm Studios has announced that they will be officially ending content updates for Mortal Kombat 11 and focusing on their next project.
They made their announcement via Twitter, adding that they have been providing content support to MK11 for more than two years.
MK11 was notable for receiving DLC support post-launch in a variety of different ways. These include new characters such as the classic character Shang Tsung, along with a collection of guest characters such as the Terminator, the Joker, Rambo, Spawn, and Robocop.
The game received generally positive reviews with a Metacritic score of 82. The various DLC characters were also well-received.
As for what game NetherRealm Studios will be working on next, time will tell.
