The Maldivian Gaming League (MvGL) has announced that it will be hosting a VR gaming tournament. 

MvGL is working with VR Café to host the “Beat Saber Pro Series – Powered by Ooredoo” event. Koo.com is also an event partner.

The tournament is being aimed for the Eid holidays. The event will be hosted at VR Café and there is a prize pool of MVR 10,000 up for grabs.

According to MvGL, the tournament will consist of a series of 1v1 matches where players go head to head against each other for the high score. They also added that all participants of the tournament can practice at VR Café this week for free. Covid-19 precautions will also be enacted at the venue. 

MvGL went on to encourage the local community to try their luck at the tournament and enjoy this new way of playing games. 

The tournament will begin on 20 July 2021.
