Idris Elba Cast as Knuckles in Sonic 2

Famous British actor Idris Elba has been cast as Knuckles in Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

Elba made the announcement on his official Twitter account with the following tweet, which was then retweeted by the film’s official Twitter account.

There are no details available about the plot of the movie but it is possible that it might take some inspiration from Sonic the Hedgehog 3. In that game, Dr. Robotnik tricks Knuckles into fighting Sonic.

The first Sonic the Hedgehog movie scored a user score of 8.1 on Metacritic.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 will be released by Paramount Pictures on 8 April, 2022.

  1. I sure hope Colleen O’Shaugnessey will reprise her role as Tails in a major role this time. She as Tails along with Ben Schwartz as Sonic would make a great team. Would you agree?? After all, she was Sora from Digimon: Digital Monsters.
