
Dragon Zone is currently hosting the first racing simulator gaming event in the Maldives. This is a month long event with 4 different specific challenges.
The event started on 10th August 2021 and will end on 10th September 2021.
The chosen game for this event is Project Cars 2. Each challenge is uniquely conditioned and set to reduce predictability and be more dynamic.
This event is organized by Dragon Zone themselves.
The event is divided into four weeks. A new track and class will be assigned each week. Points will be awarded to the weekly top 3 players and these points will be added at the end of the 4th week.
The players with the highest points will proceed to the final round of this challenge where they will compete for the final prizes.
Looking at the awards, the first place is getting a PlayStation 5.
The second place will get a Yamaha Y15ZR Velozi Titan Matt Gold Coverset by Sparehub.mv.
The third place will receive a price of Rf1000. In addition, the first place of each week not only gets a free PlayStation 4 game from Dragon Zone but also decide the track and class for the following week.
The event is already getting in a high public support. Already around 35 players have competitively participated and entered their scores into the leaderboard.
On average, there are 10 to 15 participants daily. Even people who races have also come to participate in this event.
The public response that they received for the event is good, in fact it was greater than expected. It was mainly due to that they announced this event suddenly with little marketing,
Dragon Zone aims to be an all-in-one game shop. Their services include video games and console sales, movie nights, birthday parties, and karaoke to name a few.
Additionally, they also offer repairing services for game consoles and download games.
Another area they focus on is building custom computer rigs on order.
The store also offers in-home gaming experience zone for people to try out the latest games and engage in VR gaming experience.
Dragon Zone stated that they created the challege to provide an engaging experience to gamers, particularly with regards to motion based gaming experience which is generally not a very common experience in the Maldivian gaming scene.
They also stated that there are future events and challenges planned for all type of games but that they want to give priority to games which are not be able to play at home, such as simulation games.
