The final character of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate has been revealed to be Sora from the Kingdom Hearts franchise.
The reveal was made during a livestream by Nintendo. You can check out the reveal trailer below.
Masahiro Sakurai spoke during the livestream and stated that Sora was the most requested Smash character of all time. He then added that including him has been quite the undertaking and took longer than other fighters.
Sora’s color variations include his costumes from Kingdom Hearts 1, 2, Dream Drop Distance, and 3. His Valor form, Wisdom form, and Final form are also included.

However, our favorite color variant has to be Sora’s costume from the Timeless River level of KH2. It emulates the old timey black-and-white style Disney animation from their earliest shorts. This variant also comes with unique facial animations.

Sora can use magic and is said to be good at aerial combat. Here’s a video of Sora’s gameplay.
Sora’s stage was revealed to be Hollow Bastion. It also changes into another form where we see stained glass images of various prominent Kingdom Hearts characters.
Nintendo also revealed a track list for Sora, featuring some choice picks from the soundtracks of the Kingdom Hearts series. You can check out the track list below.

We also saw the reveal of some Kingdom Hearts-themed Spirit Boards. They are made up of some of the prominent characters in the series such as Rikku and Kairi. Check them out below.

Sora will be released to the public on October 5, 2021.
