
Electronic Entertainment Expo, commonly known as E3 has been officially cancelled for 2022. Both digitally and physically.
The news of the cancellation broke out via a tweet by RAZER PR Lead, Will Powers. The tweet says that he got an email which states that the digital E3 2022 event is cancelled.
According to IGN, they have “independently verified the contents of the email as well”.
ESA had initially planned for a physical E3 event this year after having no event in 2020 due to COVID-19 and a digital one in 2021.
The ESA had initially planned for an in-person E3 event this year . However, this was canceled in January, with the ESA.
IGN announced that ESA has shared an official statement which confirms E3 2022’s cancelation and announced E3 will return in 2023.
“We will devote all our energy and resources to delivering a revitalized physical and digital E3 experience next summer. Whether enjoyed from the show floor or your favorite devices, the 2023 showcase will bring the community, media, and industry back together in an all-new format and interactive experience.
“We look forward to presenting E3 to fans around the world live from Los Angeles in 2023.”
While the news was breaking out Geoff Keighley made this cryptic tweet.
Moments later, Summer Game Fest 2022 was officially announced and will take place in June. There will also be “spectacular live kickoff show” which will be hosted by Geoff Keighley.

It is worth highlighting that this is the same event where gameplay of Elden Ring was first premiered. We are looking forward to the many announcement that will be shown in this event.
