Elden Ring Patch 1.03 out now

Patch 1.03 for Elden Ring was released earlier today.

Looking at the patch updates, there are a lot of interesting updates.

Out of all of them, we want to highlight two things which caught our attention.

PC Port Issues

Firstly, there is nothing to be seen about any fix for the PC release of the game despite it mentioning one of the targeted platforms as Steam.

Ever since the release the PC release of the game, it is filled with a lot of issues and problems to the point where for some players, it is unplayable.

The first patch that was released after the release made the problems much worse.

Despite all of this there was no fix and the players themselves started tinkering with the game and hardware for some fixes.

Under the “Bug Fix” heading it says “Other performance improvement and bug fixes.”.

At this point we don’t know exactly what it means and what falls under it. It is too vague.

We at Emmen Gaming is hoping that the PC release will get fixed as soon as possible.

Check out our technical overview of the game and some fixes over here.

NPC Fixes

Secondly, a lot of things regarding to NPC’s were fixed in this update.

This includes NPC now appear on the map, a New NPC and summons for certain situations, extra quest phases for certain NPCs.

Patch Notes

You can check out the full patch notes below.

As you can see, From Software are still tinkering with Elden Ring.

That being said, the focus on game balance and story-related bug fixes over technical fixes is sad to see.

We hope that the company will give PC players the focus they deserve.

Anyway, our review of Elden Ring will be released soon and you can read about our favorite Spirit Ashes here.

How have you been enjoying your time in the Lands Between so far?
