Have you heard the rumors about a new version of the Nintendo Switch?
Games media and pundits are calling it the “Nintendo Switch Pro” and a recent development has caused rumors and speculation to spread like wildfire this week.
First game a report by Bloomberg (which is behind a paywall, but you can read the gist of it here). The report claimed that the so-called Switch Pro would be revealed before E3 and will come out this year.
The hype levels, which were already high, went through the roof when fans discovered a new retailer listing for the device on Amazon Mexico. Take a look at this!
The listing was removed soon after.
At this stage, it is not clear whether the listing was legitimate or not, but the fact that it disappeared soon after being discovered did raise more than a few eyebrows.
It is also worth noting Amazon Mexico does have a history of accidentally leaking information. It accidentally leaked news of the Spyro Reignited Trilogy in April 2018, a day before its official announcement.
There are many thoughts on what this rumored Switch Pro console might have in terms of features and capabilities. Some say it might have 4K visuals. Others say that it will have an OLED panel by Samsung. Mysterious “industry insiders” also claim that there will be Switch Pro exclusive games.
